The sculpture's form followed the seating. 3D Modeling this simple form meant finding the most elegant geometry that could still be physically carved and built in stone. Carved from Calacatta marble to fit the body ergonomically, its purpose is to remove physical discomfort from awareness entirely, so attention stays on the marble and the present moment. Each seat's circular footprint gives the person inside it a natural sense of individual space.

Its top flattens just enough to rest a book, with a natural crease that exposes the marble's veining alongside the book's spine. Set at the height of the floor seating, it keeps the speaker level with everyone in the room rather than elevated above them.
